Our Commitment to Privacy
SidStack is built with a local-first philosophy. Your code, project data, and AI interactions stay on your machine. We believe your development workflow should be private by default.
What We Collect
Nothing by default. SidStack does not collect telemetry, usage data, or analytics unless you explicitly opt-in to anonymous usage statistics.
Data Storage
All your data is stored locally in the .sidstack/ folder within your project directory. This includes:
- Project knowledge and documentation
- Governance rules and configurations
- SQLite database with local state
- Session and task history
Third-Party Services
When you use AI features (like Claude Code integration), your prompts and code snippets are sent to the respective AI provider (e.g., Anthropic). This is controlled by your own API keys and is subject to their privacy policies. SidStack does not have access to this data.
Website Analytics
This website may use privacy-respecting analytics (like Plausible or Fathom) to understand general traffic patterns. These tools do not use cookies and do not track individuals.
